Wisconsin Chapter Sponsored ALS Support Group Information

Milwaukee Area ALS Support Group

Provides information and support for individuals with ALS, their family, friends and caregivers.

Date:  Second Saturday of each month  (May, August and December groups are held at different location)
Time:  11am - 1pm (light refreshments are served)
Where:  Froedtert Memorial Hospital, Conference Room NT2009
9200 West Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee
Use parking structure off of Wisconsin Avenue on 92nd Street - Disabled Parking available.

*NOTE* As of January 2010 the support group will be meeting in a new room location within Froedtert.  The group will now be meeting in Room NT2009.  The room is located on the main floor of Froedtert West Hospital.  From the main hospital lobby area, walk straight down the hall past the Family Center and Chapel and continue past two outside courtyard areas.  There will be an overhead sign “Conference Room” and Room NT2209 will be on your right hand side just past a small waiting area.   

Fox Valley Area ALS Support Group

Provides information and support for individuals with ALS, their family, friends and caregivers.

Date:  Third Tuesday of each month (no meeting in January)

Take Exit for Highway 21 off of Highway 41 in Oshkosh
General Parking in lot - Disabled Parking available 

Milwaukee Area ALS Caregiver Support Group

This is a special group for individuals in a caregiving role; full-time, part-time and long distance.  It is a time to meet, share with and learn from others who understand.  The group gathers for dinner in an informal setting, which provides a great chance to relax and get to know others.

Date:  Fourth Thursday of each month (no meeting in December)
Time:  7pm 
Where: This group meets at a different restaurant or location each month.  Click here for a list of locations or email Jane Kowalsky, MSW Jane@alsawi.org.  The location list is also available in the Chapter newsletter, on the Chapter website and provided at each meeting.  Emails are also sent out prior to each meeting for individuals to RSVP.  If you would like to be included on the caregiver group email list please send an email to:  lori@alsawi.org 

  

Northwestern WI ALS Support Group

Provides information and support for individuals with ALS, their family, friends and caregivers.
