Our Stickin’ It To ALS event combines an evening of Admirals hockey with raising more awareness and money for fighting ALS.
Tickets include a private pre-game party with live music, food and drinks, lower level seating to the Admirals game, and a free post-game concert.
Thank you to our friends and supporters - our April 4th event has been postponed. Date TBD at a later time.
First staged in 2012, Chasin’ A Cure has become an annual opportunity to bring more awareness to the ALS cause, while raising money and having a good time in the process.
A natural tie-in to Lou Gehrig’s Disease, it’s a baseball tailgate party held in the parking lot of Miller Park before a Milwaukee Brewers game and includes a free concert, food and drinks, and a ticket to the game. Inside the stadium, we make our presence known by wearing matching ALS t-shirts and having an ALS patient or family member throw the ceremonial first pitch.
The event has become a reality and a success through the generous contributions of Dr. Woo Band, Sobelmans Burgers, Jimmy Luv’s Bloody Marys, MillerCoors, Tito's, and many other contributors and volunteers.

WALK TO DEFEAT ALS®
While there’s no shortage of charity walk/run events out there, the sense of community and support at ours is absolutely amazing. There’s no better way to describe it than a “2.1k Love Fest.” Maybe that’s because the money that’s raised at these events stays right here in Wisconsin, providing equipment and services to help local ALS patients and their families cope with the disease.
The Walk is free to participate in, but donations are greatly appreciated. In fact, one of the best ways to help raise money is to put a team together. Whether it’s to honor a loved one who’s experienced ALS or simply to band together for a worthy cause, Walk to Defeat ALS is always a great time.
The 2020 Walk to Defeat ALS Events are:
Northeastern Wisconsin Walk to Defeat ALS - September 12, 2020
Milwaukee Walk to Defeat ALS - October 11, 2020
Madison Walk to Defeat ALS - October 24, 2020
EVENING OF HOPE
Started in 1992 by Jeff Kaufman, who valiantly battled ALS for 21 years, the Evening of Hope has grown to become one of the most popular black tie charity events in Wisconsin – with 100% of the proceeds going toward researching the cause and a cure for ALS.
Since its inception, the Evening of Hope has helped the Chapter raise over $3 million for ALS research. Most of which has been distributed to scientists and researchers right here in Wisconsin (including the Waisman Center, a leading-edge research facility at UW-Madison).
The annual gala features a cocktail reception, an elegant plated dinner, live dance music and two auctions – silent and voice – which offer an amazing array of donated items. It also includes a key speaker. For instance, such notable personalities as Mitch Albom (author of Tuesdays with Morrie) and the late Christopher Reeve have graced our podium.
It’s not only a wonderful, enriching evening, its success has contributed to the Chapter’s ranking as one of the top five fundraising chapters in the entire country. We have no doubt that somewhere up above, Jeff Kaufman is beaming with pride.
The 2020 ALS Evening of Hope date has been rescheduled to July 31, 2020.
