If an ice bucket can do wonders in the fight against ALS, imagine what an entire stadium of ice could do.
That was the thought behind our first annual Stickin’ It To ALS event — an evening of hockey, hope and hoopla featuring a Milwaukee Admirals game, pre-game party and post-game concert.
Like the well-established Chasin’ A Cure Brewers tailgate party held each summer, the inaugural Stickin’ It To ALS event proved to be a rousing success. We expect it to be another popular annual event.
Of course, it’s not just a great time, it’s an opportunity to extend the ALS message to a wider audience who may have little understanding of the horrors of ALS. It also raises much-needed funds to help Wisconsin patients and families who are living with the disease — as well as funding critical research that will one day unlock the secret to a cure.
That’s why we urge you to consider a contribution to the ALSA Wisconsin Chapter on Giving Tuesday (December 1st). Together, we’ll ultimately ice this heartless killer.
